FAQs Are Not Showing on Product Pages

Issue:
Even after generating FAQs in the AI Content Optimizer, they are not appearing on product pages.

Solution:

1. Go to Online Store → Themes → Customize → Products → Default Product.

2. Click Add section → Apps → StoreRank Product FAQs.

3. Drag the FAQ section to your desired position (recommended: below the product description).

4. Click Save.

5. Make sure that FAQs are also enabled in Schema Settings if you want AI to read them.

Pro Tip: Only approved FAQs will appear, ensure you’ve clicked Publish Changes in the AI Content Optimizer.

Important: Theme compatibility (Online Store 2.0)

If you don’t see the “Add section → Apps” option when editing your product page, your theme may not support Shopify app blocks.

Some older or custom Shopify themes use a legacy product.liquid template instead of a modern Online Store 2.0 (product.json) template. These legacy themes do not support adding app blocks to product pages, which means the StoreRank Product FAQ section cannot be displayed visually on the product page.

In this case:

• FAQs are still generated correctly in StoreRank

• FAQ schema is still added to your product pages

• Search engines and AI tools (like ChatGPT and Google) can still read and use the FAQs

• The FAQs will not be visible to visitors on the product page

How to check if your theme supports app blocks

1. Go to Online Store → Themes

2. Click … → Edit code on your live theme

3. Open the Templates folder:

   • If you see product.json → your theme supports app blocks ✅

   • If you only see product.liquid → your theme is a legacy theme ❌

How to fix this

To display FAQs visually on your product pages, you’ll need to switch or upgrade to a Shopify Online Store 2.0 compatible theme (such as Dawn, Refresh, Sense, or similar).

Once a compatible theme is active, the StoreRank Product FAQs block will automatically appear under Add section → Apps in the product page editor.
