AI Crawler Access Shows as Blocked

If Settings → AI Search Settings shows AI crawlers as blocked, the StoreRank app embed is usually switched off.

How to fix it

  1. In Shopify, go to Online Store → Themes → Customize → App embeds.

  2. Switch on StoreRank AI Search Optimizer.

  3. Click Save. Toggling it on isn't enough, it only activates once saved.

  4. Refresh the AI Search Settings page in StoreRank.

Still blocked?

  • Check your robots.txt manually. Shopify doesn't let apps edit it, so a custom rule blocking AI bots has to be removed by you or your developer.

  • Check other apps (security, bot protection, password pages) that might block crawlers.
