Error When Publishing Product Updates

Issue:
When clicking Publish Changes in the AI Content Optimizer, you see an error message:

“There was an error when publishing.”

Solution:

  1. Go to Online Store → Themes → Customize.

  2. Open the App Embeds section in the left sidebar.

  3. Ensure StoreRank AI Search Optimizer is enabled.

  4. Click Save at the top right.

    • Simply toggling it on is not enough—clicking Save activates it.

  5. Return to the AI Content Optimizer and try publishing again.

Pro Tip: If this does not resolve the issue, try refreshing your Shopify theme editor before publishing.
