Content Settings
Content Settings are your store-wide instructions for StoreRank. They tell the AI how your brand should sound, who it's talking to, and what to generate, so everything the AI Product Optimizer and AI Article Autopilot produce stays consistent and on-brand.

A few things to know:
Settings apply store-wide, to every product and article StoreRank generates.
Changes affect future optimizations only. They don't rewrite or undo past ones.
You can update them anytime without affecting your theme or existing SEO.
Brand Voice & Tone
Brand Tone sets how your brand sounds when StoreRank writes content: Casual, Professional, Friendly, Informative, and more depending on your plan. This keeps your whole store consistent and prevents content from sounding too corporate, too salesy, or mismatched between products.
If you're unsure, Casual or Friendly works well for most ecommerce brands.
Content Language sets the language for all generated content: descriptions, FAQs, meta titles and descriptions, and alt text. Use it if your store operates in a non-English market. Note that this sets the language for new content only, it doesn't translate existing content.
AI Article Autopilot
These settings control how StoreRank generates blog articles.
Publishing Behavior β whether articles are saved as drafts or published automatically. Auto-publish is available on higher plans.
Article Length Preference β how long generated articles are. Default works for most stores.
Default Publishing Days & Time β when scheduled articles go out.
Auto-fill Calendar β when on, StoreRank automatically fills your content calendar with scheduled articles.
AI Image Generation β when on, generates a featured image for each article. You can set a Default Image Generation Style to keep visuals consistent.
Default Blog & Author β where articles publish and who they're attributed to.
AI Product Optimizer
This section controls what the optimizer does when you run it.
When optimizing
This is the most important choice here. It decides how much the optimizer touches.
Only fields that need work (recommended) β generates content only for fields that are empty or failing a health check, and leaves your strong fields alone. Nothing good gets overwritten, and you only spend credits where it helps.
All fields β regenerates every selected field, even ones that already pass. Uses more credits, best when you want a full refresh.
Which fields to optimize
Turn individual fields on or off. When "Only fields that need work" is selected, these are the fields eligible to be fixed, each is only updated when it's actually empty or failing.
Product Title β clearer titles for AI understanding and search
Product Description β structured descriptions that surface key benefits. Set Product Description Length here (Standard, 200β350 words, suits most stores)
Meta Title β SEO meta titles for better rankings
Meta Description β meta descriptions that improve click-through
Alt Text β descriptive alt text for all product images, for accessibility and AI
Generate FAQs β automatic FAQs per product, formatted as FAQPage schema that AI models often cite
Number of FAQs per product β how many to generate. 5 to 10 is a good range. More isn't always better; relevance matters most.
Smart FAQs (Professional plan and above) β instead of generic AI-invented questions, this pulls real questions people actually search for and answers them in a way AI is more likely to cite and shoppers find genuinely useful.
Content Context (optional)
This is where you give the AI context about your brand. It's optional, but filling it in meaningfully improves the relevance of everything StoreRank generates.
Topic pillars β the core themes and product categories your store is about (for example: streetwear clothing, oversized hoodies, men's knitwear). These keep generated content anchored to what you actually sell.
Unique Value Proposition β what makes your products different (for example: sustainable materials, fair trade, handmade, certified organic). AI assistants favor clear differentiation, vague or generic content is far less likely to be recommended, so be specific.
Target Audience β who your products are for (for example: eco-conscious millennials aged 25β40). Write it like you're describing your ideal customer to a copywriter, not as a keyword list. This helps the AI choose better wording, emphasize the right benefits, and answer FAQs in a way AI is more likely to cite.
When should I update these?
Review your Content Settings when:
your brand positioning changes
you start selling to a different audience
you expand to a new market or language
your generated content feels off or inconsistent
If everything reads right, you can safely leave them as they are.
A note on results
These settings make your content more relevant, consistent, and complete, which is the foundation for being understood and recommended by AI. Whether a product or article actually gets cited also depends on factors beyond your content, like your store's authority and how often other sites reference you. You can track how your brand actually shows up in AI answers in the AI Mentions Tracker.
