How to remove existing Product Schema from your theme

Seeing duplicate Product schema warnings in Google Search Console? Your theme probably adds its own Product schema next to StoreRank's. You have two options.

Option 1: Turn off StoreRank's Product schema (no code)

Go to Settings → Schema Settings, switch off Product Schema, and save. Quick and safe, but you lose StoreRank's more complete version (related products, ratings, AI-focused fields).

Option 2: Remove the theme's Product schema (recommended)

Back up first: go to Online Store → Themes, click … next to your live theme, and choose Duplicate.

  1. Click … → Edit code on your live theme.

  2. Search the code (Ctrl/Cmd+F) for "@type": "Product". It's usually in sections/main-product.liquid, sections/product-template.liquid, or snippets/product-schema.liquid.

  3. Delete that whole block, from <script type="application/ld+json"> to </script>. Only remove the Product block. Leave others like Organization or BreadcrumbList alone.

  4. Click Save.

Check it worked

Run a product page through Google's Rich Results Test. You should see one Product entry: StoreRank's, marked #storerank-product. Search Console warnings can take 24–48 hours to clear.
